| | • Output Shaft: Bison accommodates custom shaft materials, diameters, and other features to meet customer specifications. Carbon and stainless steels with features such as keyways, flats, thru- holes, hex, threads, and slots are typical requests. | | | | • Shaft Seals: Depending on the ambient environment, we will provide the appropriate shaft seal for the application. Bison uses a wide array of seal materials including Nitrile, Viton®, and Polyacrylate materials. | | | | • Mounting: Bison can deliver the required mounting configuration when a custom flange, face mount pattern, or footplate is required. We can also provide metric mounts as needed. | | | | • Gear Case: Gear cases may be modified with a variety of mounting patterns, seal bores, foot brackets etc. For high volume OEM applications, custom designs are used to optimize form, fit, and function. | | | | • Gearing: With a large selection of ratios available, Bison can meet most speed and torque requirements. If a ratio does not exist, ask us to design one that meets your needs. In addition, we have the ability to produce most types of gearing…helical, spur, worm and bevel to name a few. | | | | • Lubrication: Synthetic and food grade lubricants are available in various temperature ranges. Let Bison application engineers help select the proper lubrication for the most demanding applications. | | | | • Bearings: Depending on the application requirements and the selected lubrication, Bison will choose the proper bearings to maximize life and minimize noise. | | • Motor: Permanent split capacitor, split-phase, shaded pole, capacitor start, capacitor run, three-phase, inverter duty, PMDC, brushless DC, and steppers are a few of the input motor options available to OEM’s in a wide range of voltage options. | | • Termination: When special cordsets, lead lengths, connectors, terminals, junction boxes, or strain reliefs are required, Bison can accommodate. | | | | • Optional accessories: Bison can provide custom rear shaft extensions, encoders, tachometers, centrifugal switches, and brakes.
