1. Housing – Single Piece aluminum housing – Lighter and dimensionally stronger than zinc, our gearcase is machined on automated mills for superior alignment of bearings and gearing.
   
   
2. Finned End Bell –Bison’s finned rear end bell not only reduces weight, but more importantly improves the thermal resistance of the frame.
   
   
3. Replaceable brushes on DC products – Long wearing brushes with multiple sizes tailored to the application.
   
   
4. Precision Gearing – Fully automated gear hobbing combined with carbide cutting tools ensures the balance you are looking for: smooth, quiet, and chatter-free gearing.
   
   
5. Oil bath lubricated – Simply the best choice for gear lubrication, we specify synthetic oil to maximize load capacity and gear life.
   
   
6. Epoxy Powder Coat finish – Our paint is oven cured, corrosion resistant, and is the most durable in the industry.
   
   
7. Oversized ball bearings – Our output shaft is supported with the largest bearings in the industry, allowing maximum life on high radial load applications.  Easily manages high shock loads and shaft mis-alignment problems, with lower audible noise.
   
   
8. Optimized motors – All of our standard motors have been designed for today’s aggressive use.  Balanced armatures, premium ball bearings, and high integrity insulation systems insure long life.
