FAQ’s

“We need flexibility on deliveries. Can Bison set up short lead-time kanban shipments?” Bison’s lean facility runs on a kanban system. We encourage our customers to minimize inventory and optimize frequency of delivery. Get your units delivered when you need them. All you need to do is discuss your requirements with a Bison associate.

2. “Our design requires specific cordset lengths with connectors in order to reduce installation labor. Can Bison provide custom termination solutions?”
   Bison can build to order custom cordset assemblies, connectors, junction box locations etc. Typically the minimum order quantity is at OEM levels of 50 to 100 units annually.

3. “Bison’s hollow shaft options are a great solution, but we need the shaft to extend 1.75” longer on the right side with a set screw and keyway, along with a 20 mm bore. Can Bison provide this shaft option at low quantities?”
   We machine barstock to customer specifications every day. Typically the minimum order quantity is at OEM levels of 50 to 100 units annually.

4. “We need variable speed AC performance for our line of conveyors. What range of speed is Bison’s inverter duty line capable of?”
   All of Bison’s inverter duty products have been designed to run from 6 Hz to 60 Hz at continuous torque rating, and continuous horsepower range at 60 to 90 Hz. Depending on application requirements, speed ranges from 6 Hz to 120 Hz are capable with Bison application engineering assistance.

5. “We ship globally. Can Bison provide multiple international agency ratings?”
   Bison’s multi-dyno test lab is certified with computer driven calibrated equipment. If you need special agency assistance please call and we will develop a solution to meet global requirements.

6. “Our line of pumps requires a specific RPM range at the shaft to insure proper flowrates. Can Bison offer custom gear ratios in small lot sizes?”
   Yes. We manufacture gears every day. Custom gear ratios are available and all you need to do is contact a Bison associate to specify your requirements. Typically the minimum order quantity is at OEM levels of 50 to 100 units annually.

7. “We need a gearmotor that is fully backward compatible to what we are now using. Can Bison provide a motor with the same wiring configuration, including lead colors?”
   Custom windings and termination leads are available made to order. Typically the minimum order quantity is at OEM levels of 50 to 100 units annually.

8. “We need our company name and logo privately labeled on the motors we buy. Can Bison custom label for us?”
   Yes, and at no additional charge. All we need from you is a logo. Our labeling machine does the rest of the work on the production line. Typically the minimum order quantity is at OEM levels of 50 to 100 units annually.
