1. How do I properly wire my Bison Motor or Gearmotor?
   

   Wiring Diagrams are available on-line for the specific wiring instructions for the geamotor you have purchased.

2. Where and how can I purchase a Bison Gear gearmotor, PMDC motor, or reducer?
   

   Gearmotors are available for sale online through bisongear.com, direct from Bison Gear and Engineering, or from our extensive distribution channel. Click here to see your local purchasing options.

3. How can I find a comparable or cross-reference my current product to a Bison Gear?
   

   This ability is found in our PowerSearch. You can cross-reference to a competing product or search by your individual product specification.

4. How do I get replacement parts or accessories for my Bison product?
   

   You can look on the individual product page for your replacement parts and accessories. In addition, you can contact Bison at 1-800-AT BISON for further assistance.

5. Can and how do I replace the brushes in my DC product?
   

   Brushes are replaceable and can be purchased for additional cost from either distribution or Bison directly. Utilize our on-line locator functionality to determine yoor local purchasing options or contact Bison at 1-800-AT BISON for assistance.

6. How do I specify or choose the correct gearmotor for my needs? How do I customize a gearmotor for my specific application requirements?
   

   Utilize the application data sheet which is available to be printed or e-mailed in a short or long form. In addition, you can also choose the Bison product that best fits your application needs and then choose customize it link to tailor the product for your specific characteristics.

   3. Print out the application data sheet (Adobe Acrobat pdf format) to fax into 630-377-6777.

7. How long does a Bison gearmotor last?
   

   A Bison Gear gearmotor is built to last. Bison has been in operation for over forty years in which we have built every unit to contain Robusticity™. Robusticity™ allows Bison to get you more torque at less cost in a high quality product. Bison has seen gearmotors in use exceeding 25 years; however, depending on product and usage this could vary.

8. What steps do I take if I have a proprietary gearmotor?
   If your Bison product is part of an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) application you must contact the individual manufacturing entity for service or replacement parts.

9. Is there a minimum order quantity on custom gearmotor applications?
   

   For standard product offered through bisongear.com or distribution there is no minimum order quantity. However, for custom units there is a minimum order quantity so Bison can insure adequate service levels.

10. How do I contact Bison Gear for technical support?

11. Do I need agency approval for my gearmotor?
    

    It depends on your individual application and marketplace needs in which most Bison products offer.
