December 8th, 2012 - St. Charles, IL - Last Saturday, Bison Gear and Engineering hosted their annual "Breakfast with Santa" with over 350 people attending the event. This year, attendees enjoyed a delicious breakfast, games, movies and (of course), a visit with Kris Kringle himself.
Bison has been doing the "Breakfast with Santa" event since 1997, giving associates not only a chance to get their family holiday photos, but also providing some holiday spirit in the process. And it's not only about Bison and its associates... Several years ago, Bison decided they could also help the community by collecting toys and donating them to Toys for Tots, an organization that delivers new toys to underprivileged families for the holidays. "This is a great event, and one that we look forward to hosting every year," said Martin Swarbrick, Bison President and CEO. "It is a terrific way to usher in the holiday season."
For the second year in a row, Bison also opened "Breakfast with Santa" to RPM Riders, a local area motorcycle club featuring some current and former Bison associates as members. The company was overwhelmed by the show of support, and the number of donations, from both Bison associates and RPM Riders.
"I brought my grand-daughter to one of our first Breakfast with Santa events," said Michelle Truss, HR manager and one of the event's organizers, "I can't believe how much it has grown over the years and the support it brings in from the community."
So far, the event has raised more than six boxes full of toys. Donations are still being accepted at Bison through December 14. Happy Holidays to all from Bison Gear & Engineering.
